Aakash Mudra Meaning
In Ayurveda and Yoga, the Aakash or Akash mudra is a hand finger position that is symbolic and ritualistic and is intended to expand the cosmos or element of space within the body. The words ‘sky’ or ‘space’ in Sanskrit are Akash, and ‘gesture,’ ‘mark,’ or ‘seal’ is Mudra. A single hand is all needed to do this Asamyukta, or ‘one’ Hasta Mudra, although both hands can perform it.
In this mudra, the other fingertips are held straight while the fingertips of the middle fingers on each hand are pressed to the points of the thumbs.
Aakash Mudra Explanation
Sometimes Aakash Mudra is referred to as Shuni Mudra. This is because the body’s ability to hold more space, or cosmos, aids the practitioner in forming a bond with a particular deity or a more general cosmic force. The space element, which is also linked to Jupiter, is represented by the middle finger. The Guru, in this case, is Jupiter. As a result, one can become a better teacher using the Aakash Mudra.
The throat chakra, or Visuddha, controls expression, communication, truth, and cleansing. The Aakash mudra activates this chakra. Because it helps eliminate bad feelings like anger, sorrow, or fear, it is also thought to improve a person’s mental attitude. This mudra also helps with arrhythmia, chest pain, high blood pressure, and detoxifying the body. It also relieves discomfort brought on by overeating.

Difference Between Akash Mudra And Shunya Mudra
Shunya mudra is a straightforward yoga gesture to lessen the body’s space element (akasha). In contrast, the Aakash mudra for success increases the interior space in the body.
